About this place
Contemporary winery by Jean Nouvel completed in 2014. The red-clad facade mirrors the surrounding vineyards and sky. Located beside Château Cheval Blanc in Saint-Émilion, it includes the rooftop restaurant La Terrasse Rouge overlooking the Pomerol estates.
At Château La Dominique in Saint-Émilion, Jean Nouvel built a new vat house in 2014 clad in thousands of red-painted steel slats, echoing the colour of wine. Its rooftop terrace, paved with red glass beads and planted with vines, offers views across the neighbouring estates.
