About this place

BCHO's building for painter Park Seo-bo's GIZI Foundation — folded, perforated aluminium panels wrap a gallery, shop, office and apartments.

Completed in 2018 in Seodaemun-gu, GIZI_Art Base by BCHO Partners took its cue from painter Park Seo-bo's repetitive 'Écriture' works. Folded aluminium panels with graded perforations wrap the building, and a long-span, lightly supported ground-floor gallery opens to the garden.
